about us
Madina Academy is Connecticut's first accredited full time Islamic school, for grades PreK through 12. Established in 1998, Madina Academy is a private elementary, middle and upper School located in Windsor, Connecticut. Our mission is to provide an education that is rooted in Islamic faith and ideals and is based upon the noblest Islamic traditions. This education will in turn produce young men and women of sound Islamic character who will be model citizens, Insha Allah.
Our educational efforts are aimed at shaping the minds and hearts of our children according to the teachings of the Holy Qura'an and the Blessed Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). We strive so that our students will grow up to be conscientious Muslims who will follow the straight path, are devoted to their families, committed to their communities as American Muslims and are beacons of knowledge and character.
The curriculum, system of discipline, and leisure activities at Madina Academy combine knowledge and practice of Islam with instruction in the sciences and humanities. Daily Quranic studies classes are in addition to Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts classes.
In 2015, Madina Academy received its accreditation status from the New England Association for Schools and Colleges (NEASC). The self-study report is available.
